By accessing or using KookSmart ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and InnoVriddhi Tech (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
KookSmart is an AI-powered meal planning platform that provides:
- Personalized Meal Plans: Weekly meal plans tailored to your dietary preferences, family size, and regional cuisine choices - Smart Grocery Lists: Automatically generated shopping lists based on your meal plans - Dish Swapping: AI-suggested alternatives for any dish in your meal plan - Recipe Guidance: Cooking instructions and tips for preparing your meals
The Service is designed to assist with meal planning for Indian cuisine and may expand to include additional features over time.
Eligibility: To create an account, you must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
Account Creation: To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to: - Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information - Maintain the confidentiality and security of your account credentials - Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach - Accept sole responsibility for all activities under your account
Authorized Users: If you allow others to access your account, you remain fully liable for their actions. Any sharing, selling, or transfer of account credentials is prohibited and may result in immediate termination.
Account Termination: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or harmful activities. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

How Our AI Works: KookSmart uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized meal plans based on your preferences, dietary restrictions, and regional cuisine choices. Our AI systems are powered by third-party providers (OpenAI and Google AI).
Your Responsibilities: - Accurate Configuration: You must accurately configure your dietary preferences, allergies, and restrictions. The AI relies on this information to generate safe meal suggestions. - Review Recommendations: Always review AI-generated meal plans before following them. The AI may occasionally suggest dishes that don't perfectly match your needs. - Allergy Verification: If you have food allergies, always verify ingredients before preparing any meal, even if the AI indicates it should be safe for you.
AI Limitations: - AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies - The AI cannot guarantee complete allergen detection, especially for cross-contamination risks - Nutritional information is estimated and should not be used for medical purposes - Regional dish variations may differ from your expectations
Continuous Improvement: We continuously improve our AI systems. The quality and accuracy of recommendations may change over time as we enhance our models.
"As Is" Basis: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Nutritional Information: While we strive to provide accurate nutritional guidance, meal plans are for informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical or dietary advice. Always consult with healthcare professionals for specific dietary needs.
AI Limitations: Our AI-powered features are designed to assist with meal planning but may occasionally make errors. We recommend reviewing all meal plans and making adjustments based on your personal needs.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KookSmart, its founders, directors, officers, employees, and service providers from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of or access to the Service - Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law - Any content or information you submit, post, or share through the Service - Any misuse of your account or unauthorized activity carried out using your account
We reserve the right to assume control of the defense of any claim subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with us in such defense. This obligation survives termination of your use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KookSmart shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to KookSmart in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim, or INR 10,000, whichever is lower.
Active Accounts: We retain your account data, preferences, and meal plan history for as long as your account is active.
Deleted Accounts: Upon account deletion: - Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days - Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes - Backup data will be purged within 90 days
Meal Plan History: We retain your meal plan history for 12 months on a rolling basis to improve recommendation quality and prevent dish repetition.

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters, acts of God, or severe weather events - War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government actions - Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies - Internet or telecommunications failures - Third-party service provider outages (cloud hosting, AI services) - Cyberattacks or security incidents beyond our control - Power outages or infrastructure failures
In such events, we will make reasonable efforts to resume the Service as soon as practicable and will communicate any extended disruptions to users.
By You: You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account through the app settings.
By Us: We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include: - Violation of these Terms - Fraudulent or illegal activity - Extended periods of inactivity - Discontinuation of the Service
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
